Welcome back to another Monthly DIY Challenge, friends! If you’re new to the challenge you can read all about it and browse previous month’s projects here.
This month we teamed up with our sweet friend and fellow blogger, Carrie from Kenarry: Ideas for the Home, to share 12 different ways to use her gorgeous burlap ribbon!
For this challenge I chose to tackle a little problem that I’ve been having with my craft supplies that I stash in the living room hutch. As you can see from the photo below, my craft supplies are just a tiny bit unsightly hanging out behind the glass front cabinets. To make matters worse, this hutch lives in the middle of the living room, smack dab in full view when company comes over.

I thought about frosting the glass but didn’t want to commit to something that permanent in case I ever wanted to sell the console. I figured that some kind of fabric would be the perfect solution, and when I saw Carrie’s burlap ribbon I knew it would be just the thing!
I don’t have any process photos because I literally just stapled the burlap to the back of the doors with a manual staple gun. I love how it turned out! Such a huge difference and it literally only took 15 minutes.
The ribbon is 5 inches wide by 10 yards long. Two strips filled in the width of the glass area perfectly and I only needed about 4 yards to cover the length. So now I have plenty left to use on another fun project!
I love easy projects like this! So simple but such a huge impact.
