A huge thank you to the lovely folks at Chesapeake Bay Candle for sponsoring today’s post. All opinions are 100% my own.
I’m having such a fun time seeing all of the gorgeous holiday home tours around blogland right now. I swear this year it seems like everyone really stepped up their game and went all out with their decor.
I’m definitely in the decorate-before-Thanksgiving camp and have had my tree up for several weeks now. I enjoy getting to see the house all gussied up for as long as possible, but decorating early doesn’t come without a few caveats.
Obviously having a Christmas tree up for longer than a month is impossible to do without going the faux route. There are so many gorgeous faux trees on the market nowadays but the one area they just don’t compare to the real deal is that luscious scent! I miss that yummy Christmas tree scent that wafts throughout the house. I’ve tried the scented sticks that you hang from the tree but honestly they are quite nauseating.
I was so excited when Chesapeake Bay Candle asked if they could send some candles from their Heritage Collection. This line of candles draws inspiration from the simple, clean, basic lines of their first collection, but with a modern, updated feel. The Heritage Collection embraces the natural, rustic charm of the Bay and provides an array of soothing, energizing, and refreshing scents.
Each beautiful scent is inspired by fragrances from the local botanicals and fruit of the Maryland shoreline. The scents are built around a solo or duo ingredient accord and is embellished with many layers to add complexity and depth. The fragrances are beautiful balanced and rounded with natural essential oils.
This scent was the perfect answer to my faux Christmas tree dilemma. The scent of evergreen pine, fresh balsam, and spiced pomander set a joyful atmosphere, while hints of clove, amber, and spearmint provide fresh and uplifting notes. This scent is a soy blend that is designed and poured right here in the USA.
I like to light the Balsam Fir Large Jar Candle ($25) on my nightstand. It’s tall, narrow profile make it the perfect size for a small tabletop, while still filling the room with its lovely, fresh fragrance. The burn time for this size is approximately 80 hours, so you won’t have to worry about running out of this delicious scent anytime soon.
The Balsam Fir Small Jar Candle ($15) is the smaller version and has a burn time of approximately 20 hours. It comes in the same gorgeous frosted glass with wooden lid.
My favorite size is the Balsam Fir Coffee Table Jar Candle ($25 ). This candle comes in a 3-wick design for fast acting fragrance diffusion. I love how fast the scent fills the room. It’s a life saver for those unexpected guest visits. Like the name suggests, it’s the perfect size to sit on your living room coffee table for a decorative decor statement piece in the home. This candle burns for approximately 34 hours.
Cinnamon Spice is the quintessential holiday scent that gives you all the warm and fuzzy feels. The nostalgic scent of rich cinnamon spice intertwined with fresh notes of eucalyptus is truly invigorating. Distinctive vanilla, bay leaf, and warm nutmeg mingle with sugar clove and cinnamon bark in a heartwarming aroma as indoor activities begin for the season. This finely fragranced soy blend candle is also designed and poured in the USA.
The Cinnamon Spice Small Jar Candle ($25) is a great size to gift to a friend! The burn time for this candle is approximately 20 hours.
The Cinnamon Spice Large Jar Candle ($25) is great for the kitchen or dining room. Its warm and inviting scent fills the room as if you’ve been baking all day. Best of all, it burns for a whopping 80 hours!
Chestnut & Acorn –
It was love at first sight when I saw the Chestnut & Acorn Double Wick Tin Candles ($15). The unique galvanized tin gives the perfect touch of industrial to my farmhouse style decor. An earthy, nutty aroma with rich vanilla notes, reminiscent of the perfect fall stroll through the park, includes comforting notes of roasted chestnuts, brown sugared pecans, and cinnamon. This soy blend candle is designed in the USA and poured in Vietnam. The burn time is approximately 20 hours. I guarantee this one will be making a comeback in my home each fall/winter!
I can’t tell you how happy I am to have these lovely scents in my home this season! Scent is such a powerful sense that is deeply connected to emotion. I love how easily the Heritage Collection candles fill my home with beautiful aromas that help create that perfect warm and welcoming holiday vibe.
