This farmhouse style fireplace is ready for spring. Fresh greenery and neutral colors create a gorgeous spring mantel that can be enjoyed all season.
Are you guys as ready for spring as I am? I’m really surprised because I usually like winter. I mean, is it really ever “winter” in southeast Texas? I guess I should say that I like the cooler weather.
Anyway, this year I am ready for leave-the-windows-open-all-day weather. We’ve had a few days of that already, but mother nature can’t seem to make up her mind about what season it is around here, as we’ve experienced another cold snap this week. Blah.
In the spirit of warmer, spring-like weather, I’m excited to be joining up with a group of my awesome friends to bring you our spring mantels. So be sure to take a peek at their beautiful mantels too at the end of the post.
I always love changing up the mantel with the seasons/holidays, and this year did not disappoint!
I wanted to create something fresh and not too theme-y. My goal was to focus on spring as a whole and not just limit it to Easter bunnies and eggs, etc.

SHOP THE POST:
I brought in fresh greenery and worked with neutral colors to carry it through the entire season.
I love using books as decor and I had a few hardbacks laying around gathering dust, so I covered them with brown butcher paper.
Truth: There a few vintage books in there but most of them are random ones, including some about budgeting, a few motivational books, and even a Bible. Of course I couldn’t leave out the beloved Pride & Prejudice.
If you don’t know about the fresh eucalyptus from Trader Joe’s, get your booty there now! Seriously, it cost $1.99 for a decent sized bundle. $1.99! We walked out of there with two bundles of eucalyptus and a jar of cookie butter for less than $7. The cookie butter is worthy of its own post.
It smells SO good. I split one bundle between the two glass bottles and hung the other one from my shower head. Heaven, I tell ya! The bathroom smells glorious and showers are now a spa-like experience. I may have to buy eucalyptus every week.
SHOP THE POST:
Candles and mantels go together like peanut butter and jelly. Sand and sun. Johnny and June. They’re just made for each other.
I like to shop my home for items first and then grab the extras I’m missing from the store. It really helps to keep the cost down, which is always a plus. You’d be really surprised at what you’ve already got on hand and how you can work it around to create a beautiful vignette.
I love how light and bright everything is. The pops of green are my favorite.
